| The country houses of "Il Granaio" are situated in the Southern Tuscan countryside, approximately 6 km. away from the beach and the pinewoods. The building was set up around 1900 by the Italian Cavalry and served originally as a horse stable with a hay shed. Afterwards, wheat was stored. |

In 1999, the stable was restored and transformed in spacious rural cottages, without changing the original characteristics like the wide arches in the lofts, the ancient brick walls and the typical French window, which recall the original purpose of the building. |

In 2003, the restoration was completed, rebuilding entirely the hay shed, creating comfortable apartments according the tuscan tradition using traditional materials such as "cotto" floor, travertine final touches, brick arches and walls and wooden beams and ceilings.
