Geographic position
Il Granaio" has an excellent geographic position in the middle of sunflower and cornfields with a magnificent view of the hills.
The unspoilt beach and the pinewoods are only 6 km away, while the bath resort Marina di Grosseto and the pittoresque medieval fisherman's village Castiglione della Pescaia are resp. 7 and 12 km away.
In the range of 15 km, important Etruscan and Roman ruins, like Roselle and Vetulonia are found. Panoramic medieval villages, like Montepescali, Batignano, Massa Marittima and Sticciano, the unique tufa villages Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana or the thermal bath spa Saturnia should be visited.
Distance to Siena: 70 km., Florence: 120 km. and Rome: 180 km..The Natural Maremma Park is about 15 km. away.

HOW TO REACH US


By car:
Both coming from northern or southern direction (SS1) or coming from eastern direction Siena- Florence, take exit Grosseto Nord. Proceed till you reach a t-split and turn right here, following indications for Castiglione della Pescaia. After about 3 km, turn left towards Castiglione della Pescaia. Proceed till the end of the road, where is another t-split. Turn left here and go towards Grosseto. Approximately after 500m., you turn right and take the Strada Chiocciolaia, direction Cernaia. After about 1 km, on your left hand you'll see "Il Granaio".
By aeroplane:
The closest airport is Galileo Galilei in Pisa, which remains at one and a halve hour drive from “Il Granaio”.
